NY/NJ Trail Conference Run Trails
The New York–New Jersey Trail Conference is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building, maintaining, and protecting over 2,100 miles of public trails across New York and New Jersey. Since 1920, they have worked with volunteers, park partners, and outdoor enthusiasts to ensure our region’s trails remain safe, sustainable, and accessible for generations to come. The Trail Conference hosts a variety of trail running events and programs designed to bring the community together while showcasing some of the most scenic and challenging terrain in the region.
Their work includes:
- Trail building and maintenance
- Conservation and land protection
- Volunteer stewardship programs
- Trail maps and navigation resources
Education around responsible trail use and Leave No Trace principles
Every mile we run on local trails exists because of the dedicated efforts of organizations like the Trail Conference and their volunteer crews. Participants experience everything from rocky technical climbs and flowing forest paths to breathtaking ridgeline views. These runs are more than races—they’re a celebration of the trails themselves.
