As a Retail Associate, you’ll be a frontline ambassador for the Root Runners brand. This is an opportunity to learn the run specialty industry.  You’ll receive hands-on training from an experienced team, build genuine relationships with customers, attend community events, and become part of a business that’s passionate about making a difference through movement. Our goal is simple: to ensure every customer feels understood, supported, and leaves with the perfect fit—and the confidence and knowledge to continue their active journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and connect with customers while providing a personalized shopping experience.

• Conduct personalized 3D foot scans and provide thoughtful recommendations based on each customer’s goals, gait, and anatomy.

• Learn and efficiently operate our POS (Point of Sale) system for purchases, returns, and exchanges.

• Build and maintain knowledge of running footwear, apparel, accessories, and nutrition to confidently guide customers toward the right products.

• Participate in and contribute to our running clubs, community events, and in-store experiences.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• This role is perfect for someone who loves connecting with people, enjoys being active, and finds fulfillment in helping others achieve their goals. 

• Friendly, approachable, and welcoming personality.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excited to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.

• Running or retail experience is helpful, but not required.  Proper training will be provided.

Requirements

• 25–30 hours per week

• Two Saturdays per month
